Resources
For Parents:
You are the most powerful influence on your child’s behavior! Talking to your children about social media, mental health, and alcohol and other drugs can feel intimidating. We’ve developed a list of resources to help. Don’t worry if the conversation feels short or unproductive - it’s best to have many talks over time. What’s most important is showing your child that you care about their health, wellness, and success.

For the Community:
Everyone plays a role in community prevention. You can get involved in our efforts in a variety of ways - join a committee, volunteer for an event, or “like” us on Facebook.
Prescription drugs:
Prevention is the best prescription: count it, lock it, and drop it!
Count it - 70% of abused prescription drugs are obtained from a family or friend. Would you know if someone took a few? Be able to say yes!
Lock it - safeguard your medications and lock them up!
For free medication lock boxes, drug disposal bags, or alcohol bottle locks, please email us at rcpreventionnetwork@gmail.com or call us at 1-608-758-5847
Drop it - use a drop box to safely get rid of expired or unused medications.
